Game Developer General Description

Game developers code video games for a studio, company, or for a solo project. They are basically what makes or breaks a video game's production and how well-recieved the game will be. Developers or coders typically create code for enemies, weapons, movement, and many other things (depending on the game). This creates what the player's limitations are in the game. For example, a game may have a fixed walkspeed that cannot be increased, or an item having a certain amount of uses before breaking. Video game developers are highly important in the creation of a video game, and not very much of the game can actually be made without them. There are many types of genres game developers can work on, and each have their own style. There are also many different types of coding languages the game can be made in. Some popular coding languages include Unity, Java, or Python. Many coding languages often branch off into game engines, which some programmers commonly use to create games. Popular examples of this are idtech, Source, and Unreal.
